Ceramic Veneers

At Gerrards Cross Dentist, we offer veneers to restore and enhance your smile. This treatments provide superior asthetic, durable results tailored to your individual needs.

A Ceramic veneer will always have superior aesthetics in comparison to composite bonding or composite veneers. It is very rare for modern veneers to chip or wear, the exception being if you grind your teeth at night. Veneers do not stain or discolour over time, whereas composite bonding will. The ceramic veneer is colour matched to your existing teeth, however it is usually a good idea to have tooth whitening prior to its placement. With modern veneer techniques which involve minimal or no preparation of your tooth, the risk of nerve devitalisation and needing root canal treatment is very low. Even in cases where slightly more tooth reduction is required, the risk of devitalization is only 4% over a 10-year period. Most veneers will last at least 10-15 years, however, with good care, this can be even longer
